I am not one to leave reviews or complain but this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I purchased a table, buffet and 6 chairs in October. They were all supposed to be delivered on 11/11 and then everything fell apart. The table was scratched while they were delivering other furniture that day. I was told they would call to schedule a new table delivery within 72 hours but no one called. So 5 days later I called. I was told that the table would be available 12/8. I bought a table to have Thanksgiving dinner on and I had a huge home tour happening in December so this was not ok. Customer service said there was nothing they could do talk to the sales associate. So I did and was told a manager would call me back in 20 minutes. Two days later I called them back and was able to talk to a manager, the response I received was that they could not help there was no table available. I called the Ashley in Dayton and was told they could have me a table by 11/27. After I informed the manager of this he said they used the same warehouse so he could get me the table also and that until then he could have a loner table sent to my house he just had to get regional managers involved and he would call me back before the end of the day. Two more days later I called again and was told they didn't call this time because the Regional Manager had not found a solution yet. Literally 5 minutes later he called my husband, obviously he didn't want to deal with me since I was fuming at this point, and told him they would deliver the loner table before the holiday and exchange it when the one on 11/27 came in. The loner arrived and they happily charged my credit card for the purchase then forgot all about me. On 12/12 I called customer care again and asked where my table was?? After 2 days of her "researching" the situation she calls and says "I processed the exchange and the new one will be sent to you when we locate one." This is where I lost my mind. My husband and I have already taken 2 days off work and if I had not complained they would have let me keep the scratched table but charge me for a new table. Now I have to take another day off and lose more money. I asked for a discount on the purchase considering all I have been through. They will charge me 25% to restock the furniture if I return it but I can only get 10% of the table only for my time and issues. I have been constantly lied to and forgotten through this whole experience. Wayfair treats their customers way better and makes sure damaged items are replaced quickly. There is also not a 25% restocking fee.
Delivery set for Sunday. Sunday morning, sorry only two pieces of three. When does the third come in? Sorry we don't know.... It was a sectional sofa. We cancelled the order. They still showed up and tried to deliver.
As I enjoy the selection of furniture at Ashley Homestore, the customer service is beyond unsatisfactory. I have nothing but poor followup and results from their continuous mistakes; from double charges, to not calling about my products being in store for pickup, to inputting my address completely wrong causing my delivery to having to be delayed since it was on a different route. I wish my experience would have been a positive one but I will probably not shop here again or recommend it to anyone.
